Alongside her passion for piano, she also enjoys songwriting and singing.
She was an active participant in Global Piano Summit 2021. In 2019, Sally was invited to participate in a master class with Jeffrey Kahane, presented by the Pasadena Chapter of MTNA/CAPMT. Steven Spooner (2017), Hershey Felder (2018), and Gila Goldstein (2018). She appeared in masterclasses with distinguished performers and teachers such as Dr.
In 2016, she was the only winner in the 2016 Thailand Chopin International Competition. Sally won the 1st prize at the 2018 CAPMT Sonata Competition, the Bronze Winner in Steinway Junior Piano Competition, a finalist at the 2018 Celia Mendez Young Pianist Beethoven, and received honorable Mentions in both the 2019 CAPMT Honors Competition and the 2018 Aloha International Piano Competition. Sally is currently studying at Manhattan School of Music under Andre-Michel Schub. In 2017 she moved to Los Angeles to continued her piano studies at the Piano Talent Performance Academy as a student of Ory Shihor. Syams in Surabaya as well as with Iswargia Sudarno in Jakarta. She started playing the piano at the age of 8 and completed ATCL Diploma in 2015 at the age of 13 before she went overseas for study. Sally Yapto was born in Surabaya, Indonesia.
